Lagging

I've been lagging on my blogging due to upcoming midterms and work. But I still put in some time to check out the Spring 2009 Couture collections! So far, I'm loving Chanel and the whole white concept.

But now, back to studying.. :/

Blue takes over the Carpet

Golden Globe Awards.
I only saw about a few minutes of it and I didn't even see a majority of the gowns on the red carpet either, but these two dresses looked amazing! The Versace dress on January Jones (top) is so elegant and chic at the same time. I love the zipper lining and, of course, the pockets! (I love pocket dresses btw). And the blue goes well with her skin tone. The Lanvin dress on Maggie is just too cute. There's not too much blue that over powers the print as a whole and the one shoulder puff adds a touch of elegance to me. I would love these in my closet.

When a Woman Becomes Her Own Best Friend, Life is Easier

My first post, yay! My title are words from the amazing Diane von Furstenberg. I would love to be as successful as she is now.

I've always been wanting to host some kind of party, like a dinner party or something. And I came upon this quote today: "A party is like a great dress: The details should be perfect, but nobody has to see the work" -DVF. So if and when I do host one, that will be the quote running through my head. Oh Miss Furstenberg, she's so amazing.

I had lunch for the first time with Maritza today, it was nice. I love to just sit there and talk, and I'm glad we finally did! She too wants to throw a house warming party. I hope I didn't keep her too long because we were at Panera Bread for at least two hours! Lol. She's cute, and I love her dimples (but she doesn't know I do..yet). Many more lunches to come.

January 18th, 2009:
Mr. Gerry Gianan said something pretty interesting last night about sins. He mentioned two out of the top ten most sins, one being Pride and the other Pride and Vanity, how vanity is a sin because we take the time to look at ourselves and not what's around (not referring to people next to you either) but in a broader sense I guess. I can't explain it that well, but it did make me think about how I, and many others too, do act in sin daily because we all look at our reflections. I don't know, I can't describe exactly what he was saying, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

That night, Gerry, Neil and I were killing zombies in Call of Duty, World at War on Xbox Live but not all at once, we took turns. It was cool to watch and play! haha. And I must add, I ruined the round I played when I couldn't kill all the zombies coming in through the window which caused the whole team to die. Game Over. Oh well, haha.

Anywho, I hope I can keep this blog updated and post entries. We will see won't we.
